Return to Spain
We fly back to Malaga this afternoon. We were due to return on 10th, but were delayed by the death of "Uncle D", a close family friend of over 50 years, and I wanted to attend the funeral.
The funeral was held in Bath, and was a very moving event. My sister J gave an excellent tribute, and her modesty about her eulogy is unfounded......it was impressive and came across with care and emotion, spoken from the heart.....a genuine tribute to a man who featured large in our lives. I certainly could not have delivered it.
We have heard from Ricardo that the work inside the house is nearly complete, and we are hoping there have not been too many cock-ups.......if there are, we will have to live with them.
The kitchen remains to be fitted,as well as the outside front of the house. There will still be a lot to do, including cleaning and decorating throughout.
We shall be in Spain for a couple of months, and will probably return after Easter. However, I am in process of buying a house in Bristol, and an Executor for Uncle D's will, so I may have to fly back on occassion to sign documents.
Cheers to everyone !! A belated picture from a restaurant on my 60th burthday in Istanbul, with the Blue Mosque in the background.
