May 24th ~ Mazagon

Despite the late night, Chris got up at 8 am, awakened by our neighbours packing up. We offered them breakfast to try and repay their hospitality and kindness, but they declined, as anxious to leave on their long journeys home. We decided not to go into town to catch the Virgen still parading around the town, as we were “El Rocioed out “, and headed off to a quiet beach camp along the coast. Looking for a site down a dead end, we saw the “Man from Almonte” – the guy who fixed the electrical problem on the van, but only recognising who he was as he drove off – quite a coincidence. There were few other campers, and we showered, washed clothes and all the other tasks to recover from 3 days rough camping. We went for a walk in the afternoon along the coast road of this very unprepossessing place.
