Packing for Spain

We've spent today finalising packing for 3 months in Spain. The front room is filled and its hard to see how it will all fit into the Vectra. The car is now ready to go ......hopefully, after its expensive MOT and service of nearly £600 ......+ brake discs and pads and new boot lock. This was fitted on Friday and the new boot lock fitted and the odometer that they broke . I was worried i would be charged for it when they had broken it on Wednesday. It took all day to fix.....the vauxhall parts van having broken down as soon as i dropped car off at 9 am - finally phoned at 4.30 pm that van was on its way ....... a doubtful explanation , as it was not programmed into their friday schedule.

I'll never go there again .......will publish name if requested............if anyone reads the blog.

After packing, pruned the buddlea as we'll be away when it should be planned..On to dinner at the Griffin, marred by a 45 minute wait .

Calls and e mails about Mother and her eye outpatient appointment that she is worried about - hopefully resolved with brother D taking her on Tuesday to the Hospital, to decide if she wants togo ahead with a minor op.

Tomorrow we load up the car and head for Southampton to see Mother en route for the Portsmouth - Le Havre nigh ferry.

Not sure when i will post next, as have to come to terms with wi fi in France.
