Mother and Car Service

I seem to be getting behind again in my postings. On Monday , I drove down to Southampton for a meeting with my aged 86 year old mother and her Social Worker, to discuss if she needed any additional help whilst I am away in Spain. Excellent meeting and covered all the key points, and hopefully, she will get additional shopping and cleaning services, her prescriptions will arrive on time, and she can attend a day care centre 1 day a week.

We had a meal out at the Cowherds on Southampton Common, on Monday evening, and did the main shopping chores on Tuesday, with a bit of household administration, before i headed back to Bristol late afternoon.

J and I had a nice meal out at the Griffin Tuesday evening.

Wednesday, I had the car MOT'd and serviced for Spain, which cost a staggering £580, inc £225 labour. I was too flabbergasted to challenge it, but may do so Friday when i have a new boot lock fitted (included in price to date). Also the odometer doesnt seem to work and the new handbrake is not very effective, so will get done Friday hopefully.

Had a nice meal out with J and her friend J and the lamb at Mangotsfield ....italian chichen my favourite.
